This year marks the third annual Arts Datathon, and it will be our best one yet.
Arts Datathon: Democratize will bring together arts administrators, artists, educators, data scientists, students, community advocates, researchers, civic technologists, and others to explore how data can improve access to the arts. This year, we will focus on democratizing arts data, with four different tracks to choose from:
Explore questions of equity in arts education in public schools
Build out public data about public art in LA County
Discover new perspectives on the California/Mexico border through a qualitative data arts project
Visualize geographic data through craft
Arts Datathon: Democratize is brought to you by the LA County Arts Commission, City of LA Department of Cultural Affairs, LACMA, USC Libraries, and Hack for LA with generous support from the LA County Arts Education Collective, LA County Board of Supervisors District 1, LA Counts, Los Angeles Public Library, LA County Library, Ford Theatres, and Arts for LA.
