Since the end of last year, we’ve helped thousands of applicants apply and work through other relief programs, most notably the recent California Relief Grant Program for small businesses and nonprofits. As the CA Venues Grant Program is a new state grant program, we will hear your issues and present them to our partners at the State and at Lendistry, which will be distributing the grants.

Nonprofits that operate a live events venue may qualify grants of up to $250,000 through the California Venues grants program. Nonprofits can qualify even if they have received other types of support, such as the California Relief Grant, PPP, or EIDL. The CA Venues Grant Program requires a separate application from any of these other programs.

Californians for the Arts is partnering with CalOSBA and Lendistry to ensure that arts and cultural nonprofit organizations with qualifying venues know they can apply for this grant and help them through the process.

Help Other Nonprofits

There are thousands of arts and cultural nonprofits – especially smaller ones, those in rural areas, and those in low-income and/or communities of color – that might not learn about this grant program as readily as larger venues in more urban areas. Take a minute to think of arts or community-based organizations with venues that you know and encourage them to apply.
