AB-5, Overtime Rules, CROWN Act, Mandatory Arbitration Clauses ... confusion is in the air.
This year is a particularly impactful one for nonprofit cultural organizations. We all know about AB-5, but there is other legislation that might apply to your HR compliance efforts as well.
Help is on the way!
On Friday, December 6, AB-5 and Other New HR Rules for 2020: The Workshop will bring you the information you need and an opportunity to get your questions answered on all the new rules.
Co-facilitated by WolfBrown Principal, Victoria Plettner-Saunders, and Arlene Yang, Esq., employment attorney with Brown Law Group, this workshop will provide you with the facts as they apply to artists, cultural organizations and other arts workers.
Victoria and Arlene will be joined by Californians for the Arts Executive Director, Julie Baker and California Lawyers for the Arts Executive Director, Alma Robinson to bring you up to speed on the current status of AB-5 legislation and as well as how to uphold artist intellectual property rights while complying with AB-5.
This event is a co-sponsored by Californians for the Arts, California Lawyers for the Arts, City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture and San Diego Regional Arts and Culture Coalition.
All are invited to this free event. Board members are encouraged to attend with staff.
Please RSVP by December 3.
