Join Julie Baker of Californians for the Arts and attorney Sara B. Boyns of FENTON & KELLER for a virtual workshop on the current status of AB-5. Assembly Bill 5 went into effect on January 1, 2020. This legislation establishes new guidelines for classifying staff as either contractors or employees.

Julie will provide legislative updates and Sara will speak to the practical implementation of the current law and answer questions about what you can do now to comply.

SVCREATES will host this workshop on Zoom. All registrants will receive a Zoom link two days prior to the webinar.

Support from our funders makes it possible to offer this session at no cost to Santa Clara County-based arts organizations, and for a modest fee of $10 to those outside the county.
