This workshop will cover the ABCs of California assembly bill AB5 and what it means for employers and workers in San Benito County.

About this Event

Join the San Benito County Arts Council and San Benito County Chamber of Commerce for an informative and interactive workshop on AB5, the new California law which changes the test used to determine whether a worker is an employee or an independent contractor. The workshop features two key presenters with expertise in the new law:

Julie Baker, Executive Director of Californians for the Arts/ California Arts Advocates

Paul Rovella, Managing Partner, JRG Attorneys at Law

The workshop will include:

  • An overview of AB5 and its impact on a variety of economic sectors, from arts & culture to manufacturing and agriculture

  • Discussion and Q&A

Who should attend: Business owners, nonprofit administrators, local government, independent contractors, artists, SBC Arts Council members & SBC Chamber members.
